About Me

Hello everyone. My name is Anthony Roth and welcome to Roth's Records! My life in music began when I was 12 years old. Started off with well-known rock & metal bands at the time, and as the years went by, my pallet of music in all it's forms came to bloom. I love almost everything, ranging from the pumped up beats of Massive Attack, to the mind-boggling noise compositions of Merzbow. Essentially it was this huge list of sounds and ideas that truly laid the groundwork for my passion. What once was a simple hobby has become an integral part of my life and helped shape who I am today. One day I hope to merge both my software development skills in conjunction with music creation. Possibly even write algorithms that auto-generate music based on many unique factors.

About My Music

Essentially, my music is all over the place in terms of genre. Despite this, there is still some similarities in terms of style. For example, a good amount of music could be considered noise. This is especially true with my upcoming album, The_CoLoRz_Ov_Sound. Some other styles I implement include plunderphonics, metal, vaporwave, and straight up experimental. When creating my music, I lay out a sound within my head and attempt to recreate it. After this, I begin categorization of different pieces found throughout the track. This helps me keep track of what goes where when constructing the music. All of this is done using software such as Audacity or Adobe Audition.  Whilst I may be a musician first, mixing music, both for myself and others, is where my strengths lie. All in all, expect to see a variety of music to enjoy but with some common features.
